Application: Discussion

Now that you have a better idea of the tool and how it might be used in an agricultural context- give it a try! We’ll use the template included in the article you read before to start, and we’ve linked it below, as well. It includes a summary of what to include in each section and a fillable form that you can use for your own business concept. As you work through the exercise, reflect on what you learned and decided for your project from Module 2.

One of the most important parts of completing a business plan is getting feedback on your ideas, identifying important factors you may not have considered, finding ways to improve, and creating supportive networks. In that spirit, when you’ve completed your Business Model Canvas, upload it to the discussion board. If you have particular questions, include those in your post. Look through and offer feedback on at least two others, and feel free to follow up with anyone who has left feedback for you to consider as well.

The Business Model Canvas can also be a great tool to talk about your business idea with other friends, family, colleagues, and even potential customers. In addition to sharing it here, we encourage you to show it to others in your community.
